Sign up for Mud Volleyball, see beauty pageant winners, and get in line for the world's largest strawberry shortcake at the Pasadena Strawberry Festival kicking off on May 20 at the Pasadena Convention Center.
Be first in line to see the world's largest strawberry shortcake and catch the Tumbleweed Crossing Wild West Show at the opening ceremony of the Pasadena Strawberry Festival. The fun begins on Friday, May 20, where you can watch scholarship recipients, parade winners, and beauty queens receive their awards on the main stage and watch live music performances.
This year's event runs until midnight on Friday and Saturday, and from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday. There really is something for everyone at this event, so be prepared to participate in the BBQ Cook Off, Mud Volleyball competition, and watch the Baby Parade.
It all takes place on the 106-acre Pasadena Convention Center so you'll find plenty of public parking spaces around the event venue. The Orange Gate entrance will take you straight to the Rodeo Arena and the Yellow Gate entrance will take you to the Convention Center. Don't miss the opportunity to hop on a helicopter ride and enjoy some great food from area vendors during the event!
Guests staying at the Best Western Rio Rancho don't have to travel far to join the fun. The convention center is about a 30-minute drive from downtown Houston, an easy drive down Interstate 45. After a day of activities at the Pasadena Strawberry Festival, look forward to relaxing in comfort with spacious accommodations and basic amenities at our Houston hotel.
